How long does it take to complete the Open Water Scuba Certification?
Most Bartlett students complete their certification over two weekends or a flexible schedule combining online e-learning, 1–2 days of pool practice, and 4 open-water checkout dives (conducted at local clear-water quarries or on one of our group trips).
Where do we do our open-water checkout dives?
We complete checkout dives at nearby clear freshwater dive parks and quarries in the region (such as Scuba Dive 65 or Loch Low-Minn) or during our organized Caribbean dive travel trips.
Is scuba diving difficult if I’m not a competitive swimmer?
Not at all! You only need basic swimming ability and comfortable water skills. You will complete a simple 200-meter swim test and a 10-minute water float prior to open water training.
